My thoughts about teaching!

It never fails when I start feeling differently about my decision to have a lifelong career in Education, the movie Mr. Holland's Opus  comes on. That movie shows how I feel about teaching. It is introducing your students to a world that they wouldn't have known if they hadn't pursued their dreams. I live in the moments that change a mind and eventually change a life. Imagine having a representation on your entire teaching career show you how much you touched their lives? The thought of that is mind blowing and life changing within itself. 

 You may never be famous or important by the world's standard but when your student tells you that "You made a difference" it is the best feeling in the world. Will you have bad days and students that you can't touch? The answer is yes but you can't keep that from you living in the good days and serving the people that you can touch. That is what happens to great teachers they get beat up and burnt out and they lose their passion. It happened to me and many others but the difference is that you have to decide to get up and press through anyhow. 

 I am what I wanted to be at 5 years old...A Teacher. I have taught grades 2,3,4 and 5 and I love it all . Teaching gives me life and I will do it for the rest of my life. Teaching is my purpose and so much more! It gives me life to touch many others lives and be part of the development of their future selves.
